For you and your health, only the best!

The word physiotherapy comes from Greek and is composed of the word "pysis" = "nature" and the word "therapeia" = "serving, caring for the sick".

For us, physiotherapy does not only mean an external application of remedies to restore the movement and functional ability of the human body (Wikipedia), but much more than that.

For us it means accompanying you as our patient and ensuring that you feel comfortable with us in every way, to support and advance your healing, because healing does not only take place through external applications.

We inform you in detail about the respective function of your body to help you participate in your own healing and to prevent misalignment proactively.

Together with you, we create a treatment concept that is tailored only to your needs, because every person is unique.

Apparatus-based physical exercise therapy (PET) is primarily used to treat pathological muscle weakness, imbalances and muscle shortening. It is also used for treating reduced mobility and coordination as well as motor paralysis. In most cases, these are chronic or post-traumatic and post-operative indications treated using special medical training equipment.

Benefits

  • Muscular deficits of individual muscles or muscle groups, especially strength capacity, can be eliminated faster and better (compared to manual physical therapy)
  • Scientifically and medically proven effectiveness
  • Functional everyday requirements can be practiced better and more intensively (e.g., climbing stairs)
  • Facilitates the transition to independent self-training and daily life

Therapy combinations with apparatus-based PET

PET is combined with manual therapy or physiotherapy, isokinetic muscle function therapy, but sometimes also with cold and heat applications.

When apparatus-based PET can help

Whenever the manual resistance of the therapist is insufficient or cannot be applied frequently enough, PET is used.

  • Muscle weakness
  • Muscle shortening
  • Motor paresis
  • Muscle imbalance
  • Joint mobility deficit
  • Spinal mobility deficit
  • Lack of coordination ability (sensomotor)
  • Postural weakness and postural defects

Massage

Indications for classical massage include muscle tension, hardening, musculoskeletal disorders such as spinal syndromes or post-traumatic changes. Another area of application for massage is neurology. Especially paresis, spasticity, neuralgia and sensory disorders can be treated here. It also promotes relaxation and has a positive effect on body, mind and soul.

General effects:

  • Local increase in circulation
  • Lowering of blood pressure and pulse rate
  • Muscle relaxation
  • Relaxation of skin and connective tissue
  • Release of adhesions and scars
  • Improved wound healing
  • Pain relief
  • Effect on internal organs via reflex arcs
  • Psychological relaxation
  • Reduction of stress hormones
  • Improvement of cellular metabolism in tissues
  • Influence on the autonomic nervous system

Pregnancy changes not only the mother's body but also brings some discomfort. The body adapts to pregnancy and the muscles and ligaments that hold the uterus in place become more elastic.

Pregnant women often struggle with back pain, pelvic problems or even incontinence. Physiotherapy during pregnancy can be performed with targeted exercises at home, in special pregnancy classes or with a physiotherapist.

Exercises on an exercise ball:

  • Massages while sitting, such as on an exercise ball, can relieve tension
  • Postpartum exercise
  • Posture problems and their consequences
  • Menstrual problems
  • Postpartum recovery
  • Incontinence problems
  • After prostate surgery
  • After all abdominal surgery
  • Organ prolapse
